Nicolina
Nicolina is the central sculptural installation in the larger exhibition The Triangles Through the Leaves. I view this as the exhibition’s ground-zero out of which everything expands from. At the core of the installation sits a destroyed stretcher frame, with strings and yarns wrapped around it, emulating the warp and weft of woven canvas. The threads also explode from it, and begin to transform into larger shapes and materials, in essence forming a larger ecosystem. The installation continues throughout the entire gallery space along floor and walls.
